Squarespace's Code Block runs HTML and JavaScript inside your page layout. Add one where you want reviews, paste the Shopreviews snippet and the widget appears on your live site.
Step by step
- Copy your snippet
Choose a layout, colours and review sources in the widget builder and copy the embed snippet.
- Add a Code Block
Edit the page, click an insert point or Add block and choose Code.
- Paste the snippet
Paste the snippet, keep the mode on HTML and leave Display Source switched off.
- Save and check
Save the page and open it on your live site — scripts do not always run inside the editor preview.
Menu names are shown in English; in a translated admin they have the local equivalent.
What the embed snippet looks like
<div data-shopreviews="carousel"
data-lang="en"
data-sources="google,trustpilot,kiyoh"></div>
<script src="https://cdn.shopreviews.com/widget.js" async></script>
Example only: copy your own snippet from the widget builder or your Shopreviews dashboard. It contains your layout, colours, language and review sources.

Where to place the widget
- Homepage — a carousel or grid in a section under your header.
- Product pages — a Code Block in the additional info area of a product.
- Every page — a floating popup via Code Injection in the footer.
Good to know
- Do not see the widget in the editor? That is normal: Squarespace disables scripts in the preview. Check the live page in a private window.
- Code Blocks and Code Injection with JavaScript need a plan that allows custom code.
