Lightspeed eCom lets you add your own HTML through the theme. Paste the Shopreviews snippet where you want reviews to appear — for example on the product page or homepage — and the widget fills itself with your reviews.
Step by step
- Copy your snippet
Choose a layout, colours and review sources in the widget builder and copy the embed snippet.
- Open your theme
In the Lightspeed back office, open the design section of your webshop and go to the settings or code editor of your active theme.
- Paste the snippet
Add the snippet to the template where reviews should appear (for example the product page), or to a content field that accepts HTML code.
- Publish and check
Save or publish your changes and open the page on your live shop.
Menu names are shown in English; in a translated admin they have the local equivalent.

Where to place the widget
- Product page — below the product description, so every product shows your score.
- Homepage — a carousel or grid under the main banner.
- Footer — a small badge on every page.
Good to know
- Menu names differ between Lightspeed versions and themes. If your theme does not offer code editing, ask your theme developer or Lightspeed support where custom HTML can be added.
- Text editors that strip scripts are not suitable — use a field or template that keeps HTML code intact.
